During September we’ve been taking a look back at the early games and rules of roller derby, and this week is no exception. On Saturday, September 26 at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, we’ll be rewatching Gotham vs. Rocky Mountain from WFTDA Champs in 2011. We are launching a new series called Gotham at the Movies, and in honor of “Back to Old School” September, we are revisiting a film that was part of many skaters’ origin stories: Drew Barrymore’s Whip It. Watch along on Twitch with film buffs Margaret Thrasher & Greta Turbo and many other friends as we discuss Gotham’s surprising connections to the promotion and premiere of the movie.
